Establishing a Caregiver Support Group

Hello, I am a student in the Gerontology Program at Niagara College and am currently writing a paper on Hospice and more specifically on caregiver support programs offered by various Hospices and was wondering if you could help me out. What I have been finding are a lot of great organizations who offer numerous programs. Unfortunately most of the programs that are developed for caregivers are bereavement support programs. What I am looking for is a Hospice organization that offers support for the caregivers while their family member or friend has just entered Hospice care. I would be interested in knowing how long the program would last, how often the caregivers would meet, the topics that would need to be discussed, and any other valid information. I would appreciate any information, ideas or suggestions that you could share with me on this topic. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely, Lainie e-mail: maureen.lane@sympatico.ca
