Re: Question: Questions about father-in-law's care

Just read bout your grandfather and not changing clothes. My mother went
for weeks without a bath or changing clothes. This is very common with
Alzheimer's. I think changing must become very complex -- and they get
into denial about it. We had to get outside help to get her to bathe,
and she is in a personal care home. You can get a person into a personal
care home over a short period and they will help get your loved-one
cleaned and bathing. Then you can get some help in -- short of that, we
found no answers. Mom was adamant about not bathing! Good luck!
