Dear Reader, If you might be moving into smaller quarters, think "do I really need all these things?" Don't wait until the last minute, do it now! How many times have you said to yourself "it's not worn out yet," or "I might want to use it sometime," or "maybe someone will ask about it," or even, "I'll think about it tomorrow." For myself, this process seems overwhelming. First, I considered taking a room at a time. This didn't work because it only made me feel defeated before I got a good start. So I have been taking littler steps, and I feel better about it. For instance, do a couple of drawers at a time. It will be fun and give you a sense of accomplishment. Next time, go to a different room and do a few things there. Of course, you must not bog down and desert the job. So keep going slowly, but surely. Other activities will keep you busy some days, but that will help you maintain a good attitude. Good grief! Why did I keep all those different size boxes cluttering up my shelves?!! Grandma |
