Question: There's this girl that I really like and I want to go out with her. What should I do, Grandma? Response: Dear Reader, I have no idea of your age, but my feelings could be for any age I would guess. Naturally we have to face the fact that I may be old-fashioned! Whatever age, could you find out what her interests might be? A first date means that you go slowly, so that you can be comfortable. Maybe you want to go bowling, play tennis, golf, hike, or something that keeps you active and allows you to talk. The main goal is to have fun. If that first date works well, how about going out to eat with another couple? Again you would not have to struggle with a one-to-one relationship and could be yourself. Also, you would be able to see how well each of you can relate to others. Or, maybe you have your own ideas about what you want to do. By now you will know if you want your relationship to grow.
